Legal · v1 draft pending counsel review
Terms of Service
Effective draft — subject to review by Swiss counsel before paid plans open (see our commercial-readiness policy).
1. What Presaid is — and is not
Presaid operates a notarization service for statements about future events: we timestamp cryptographic commitments, anchor them on an independently verifiable public record, and display outcome statistics under a published methodology.
2. Your account and content
- You are responsible for the statements you stamp and for the custody of unrevealed proof material (payload and salt).
- Claims must be lawful and must fit an objective outcome schema; we may refuse or remove display of unlawful content (the underlying commitment hash, being content-blind, may remain anchored).
- Self-reported resolutions require genuine public evidence; manipulation of resolutions is grounds for termination.
3. Permanence of records
The service's purpose is tamper-evident permanence: committed records, their sequence, and their anchors cannot be edited or deleted — by you or by us. Closing your account stops new activity and can remove display-layer profile data; cryptographic commitments and anchored proofs remain, as they are the product's integrity guarantee, contain no personal data beyond what you chose to reveal, and are required for third-party verification.
4. Availability and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for decisions made by anyone in reliance on displayed records.
5. Plans and billing
Paid plans, when available, renew until cancelled; usage limits are enforced technically. Fees are non-refundable except where the law says otherwise.
6. Governing law
Swiss law governs these terms; exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts of the canton of the operator's seat, mandatory consumer forums reserved.
